The Prime lite R has replaced my old Art cockpit and it's exceeded my expectations. I deliberated for days over the decision, I had trouble deciding between the lite and the cheaper lite R but now I'm 100% happy with my decision. The Lite R has been a joy to use and paired with my Logitech rs50 8nm wheel there's no flex at all. Adjustability is excellent and the money I saved over the more expensive option has allowed me to update my seat. Highly recommended all round and I'd say it must be the best cockpit available at that price point.

The Prime Lite R Cockpit is amazing. For a entry level product, it is remarkable how solid and stable it feels. I also love the XL RS Simulator Seat V2, it's very comfortable and the materials feel great, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Just one note: the XL RS Simulator Seat V2 is very difficult to install, because sliding the seat forward or backward, it doesn´t clear the holes where the screws will be attached. Don't know if I was very clear, or if GT Omega are aware of this issue, but it's something that should be adressed in the future. All in all, great product, with amazing finishings.

As a complete novice and for years wanted to get into sim racing I finally took the plunge and this rig and kit was the perfect choice.
When all the boxes arrived I felt a little nervous of the task ahead. But it was simple, intuitive and really satisfying to build. Apparently according to my wife it’s the first time I’ve built anything and not uttered a swear word. !!

Me and my son just replaced our old Thrustmaster xbox steering wheel to a Moza R3, came with a normal chair wheel stand. After 4 months and lots of not sleeping nights we recognized need something better! Found a good review of GTomega rigs and bought the light R. I can say this is next level! Easy good guide how to assemble nice quality of all parts. We didn't buy the GTomega bucket seat but i can imagine that same very good quality as the rig. For a pre-pro user I can't recommend more!
I went from a playseat challenge foldaway seat to this omega lite and its nite n day. my playseat was brilliant but flexed under the weight of my gt dd pro...now no movement and a really comfortable seat (r12) means I will not have to upgrade again. if you sim race daily then definitely get this or something similar!
Love it. Running a t300-rs on it. Coming from an omega wheel-stand, I find this has no wobble whatsoever. Can’t say how well it’ll hold up with a wheelbase of higher Nm. Took me a full day to assemble and line up everything to my liking and now I’m grateful for it and can concentrate on improving my lap times. My lap time times have certainly improved and is also way more consistent in opposed to the variations I was getting simply using a stand coupled with a pc chair. Great job Omega!
It was my first time building a rig and my first at all so there was a lot to understand. The instruction manual wasn't the best I can't lie but otherwise it's been fantastic since I've put it together. Really solid, pretty easy to adjust (getting under the footplate was the hardest bit) and it just works. I managed to fit it in a pretty small area due to the frame size and style, it's perfect for what I needed. Would recommend for someone's first rig for sure

I went through so many starter rigs until I got to the prime light-R and I couldn't be happier, I have already ordered the caster wheels, keyboard tray and floor mat accessories. Looking forward to gett6them delivered and to start Racing.
Great rig. Enough for me. Stable, chair is comfy, so no complains. Just I was missing paper instruction and had some difficulties to mount chair. No clear instruction how to do it. But anyways, great product
Great product, my first sim rig and love every minute of it. putting it all together is not too hard as long as you follow the manual. for the price i would recommend it to every one building their first rig
Currently using Logitech G29, which is good, but want to upgrade to DD at some point, my basic wheel stand wouldn't have been up to it, so bought the cockpit so I can upgrade soon, I'm glad I did, the cockpit comes packaged perfectly, not a scratch on it, very robust and sturdy, especially with upgraded parts since I saw the review, not too bad to put together, although I would have preferred a manual, rather than a QR code, took me longer than most people, but that is because of my disabilities, rather than the product, absolutely love it and would highly recommend it, especially if you are limited on space, like I am
At first i was VERY worried about the shipping, cost wise and customs wise, but after all it was great! I built it i about an hour, it was very easy to understand the instructions and everything went great! So far very impressed and totaly would buy it again highly recommend!
Everything cane well packaged and the parts are all of high quality. Mounting instructions were clear and easy to follow.
The only negative is the pedal plate, impossible to mount most standalone pedals. I was going to drill holes in the plate but then i found i could turn it 90 degrees if i but the sidebrackets on the end and flip the bottom support on the wheel deck stand upside down. Worked great for me so all in al im very satisfied with the product.
P.s. i also bought the prime side bracket to mount shifter, i dont think its made to work with the lite-r but you can still do it although slightly janky.
Really great. Perfect for people that want the flexibility, upgradability and rigidity of an aluminium rig....at lower cost. They've also added an extra plate at the bottom of the horizontal beams, and this works to make it all more stiff than shown in the currently available YouTube videos reviewing it.
I thought id upgrade the longest 4040 bars to 8040s at one point but it's super rigid and I don't think I need to. Maybe I will a few years down the line.
Recommended for people that want the best but are working with a modest budget.
Also, as a side note the lower profile make it less intrusive which I think is great. Less industrial than a full size rig

Fantastic quality and good instructions. GT omegas own YouTube videos came in handy when installing the runners on the chair.
There's nothing as stiff and solid at the same price point on the market and it's just perfect for what i need

About a year ago, you needed to pay around 400€ to buy an extrusion profile rig. For some people that is not a lot of money but for other people, it is already quite an investment. I really like the fact that GT Omega did an effort to bring down the price even more. 250€ for this rig is already a very decent price and it will enable a lot more simulated racers and drivers out there to buy an extrusion profile rig.
Making a budget extrusion profile rig is harder than it sounds. GT Omega took the Prime Lite and stripped it of it's extra features and downscaled the entire lower part of the rig resulting in a substantial decrease of used aluminum in the Prime Lite R. This would be the first step of bringing the price down, but I feel like they forgot to do a very crucial part after that. The optimization of the design. I feel like it could have been, despite using 4040 profiles instead of the 4080 profiles for the base frame, a lot more sturdy than it is at this moment. I am sure that things like the lifting center part and the slight roll on the frame can be decreased by simply changing the design slightly. That being said, nobody is stopping you of course from tweaking it a bit yourself too with some extra parts.
An extra remark would be, and this is the same for all other companies that use the Henry Ford sales pitch "You can have any color as long as it's black", I miss a bit of visible branding and color on it. Sure, esthetics doesn't come high on the list of features you want for an extrusion profile rig, but there is nothing wrong with adding some visual markers to show this is a GT Omega rig without having to peer at the end-caps for the brands name.
The Prime Lite R is the cheapest extrusion profile rig at this moment and despite my comments for it, it remains a solid option for budget-conscious people and a worthy opponent for any simulator cockpit in this price range when it comes to stability, adjustability and modularity.
I purchased a DD Pro last year to replace my G29, I was using a playseat challenge but I knew I needed to upgrade at some point.
After watching Karl’s review I decided to go for the lite r. Glad I did as the footprint is similar to the playseat but it’s vastly superior in every aspect. Karl’s review is on point and I really can’t add any more to what he mentioned.
It did take a few adjustments to get the seating/wheel/pedal positioning correct for my use, nothing out of the ordinary. The lite r was very easily adjustable to obtain it, a few tweaks here and there and I found it.
Overall, it’s an excellent product and I’m very happy with it after a month of use. Do go and watch Karl’s YouTube video if your interested in the lite r, he explains it thoroughly.

I needed a rig that would fit in a specific gap. The lite -r was a perfect fit. Really solid, I was surprised. Manage to to fit my old konig seat on golf mk2 base by just making one small L bracket. Mounted the screen with a simple monitor arm. Great performance. My lap times are very consistent now. Win all round.
Easy to build and to adjust, rock solid and no noticeable flex apart from minimal flex from the pedals (and that is inherent in the design of my Fanatec V3 inverteds) and not caused by the pedal tray). Whilst the instructions of the Prime Lite R are easy to follow, the bucket seat did not come with any; however anyone who has put together any piece of IKEA furniture should be able to work that out with not too much of a hassle even though it‘s annoyingly fiddly. And the you are rewarded with a super solid and sleek looking piece of gear with one of the greatest advantages of profile rigs, everything can be tweaked, everything is cross compatible: you can go nuts and mount absolutely every accessoire be it DIY or from any rival brand to it (for example I bolted a Trak Racer keyboard tray to it).
Love the Prime Lite-R. It’s really solid!!! I’ve mounted a BMW E46 3 series front seat on it and it fits nicely. I’ve also added a handbrake bracket and that helped with the solid feel. Loving it, especially for the price I didn’t need anything more. :)
This is some kind of entry level but has nothing to do with other entry level cockpits. I would honestly say, this is the cheapest profile rig you can find on the market these days and by far the best entry level cockpit you can get. I do not notice any flex while driving with my 12nm wheelbase. It is easy to build, made of high quality materials and it is looking absolutely awesome with its black profiles. I love this chassis <3
The Prime Lite R is unbeatable value for money. It's an affordable entry to aluminium profile rigs and has no noticeable flex while using a Fanatec CSL DD 8nm. Easy to assemble and lots of spare bolts and T nuts etc. Bravo.
The price performance is really good.
I modified it a little bit, I use it daily with around 8nm and it does its job, it doesn’t move.
Only the pedal plate needs to change, with a 200kg brake pedal it makes a quiet squeezing sound. But I mean for the price I don’t think it’s even supposed to support that.
And for a first Alu rig that you can upgrade it’s really good

Always had a quality experience with GT Omega in the past, back when I bought my first rig from them, all the way until now. The product is always top quality, and in the unlikelihood of an issue, they're always quick to respond and fix the problem.
The Prime Lite-R is extremely versatile as are all 4080 profile rigs, but this has been the best experience I've had working with aluminium profile. The fixings and fittings are all very well made, and when put together, everything is absolutely solid!
I've obviously gone a bit of a different route with the rig, and purchased 2 Prime Lite-Rs to create an 'all-in-one' solution, and It's been a pleasure using GT Omega materials and sharing the progress.
I still have more plans for the rig in the future, and I have no doubt in my mind that it will be incredibly easy to add to.
Great setup. With a configuration of moza r9 and thrustmaster tclm has near 0 flex.
This is the way to go to any amateur sim racer, its a great starting point.
