Is a wheel stand compatible with my wheel base?
All GT Omega wheel stands use a universal mounting plate pre-drilled for MOZA, Fanatec, Thrustmaster, Logitech, and other major brands.
Will my pedals fit?
Yes. All GT Omega wheel stands are pre-drilled to accommodate pedal sets from all major brands.
What chair do I need?
Any standard office or gaming chair works with a GT Omega wheel stand. Every stand comes with a Chair Link included, which connects your chair to the stand using standard castor wheels to prevent it rolling away under heavy braking.
Can a wheel stand handle a direct drive wheel base?
Yes. All three stands in the GT Omega range are compatible with direct drive wheel bases. The PRO handles setups up to 5Nm, the APEX covers mid-range direct drive up to 15Nm, and the DD-X is built for high-torque setups of 16Nm and above. If you are unsure what torque rating your wheel base is, check the manufacturer's spec sheet.
How difficult is it to set up?
The PRO and APEX arrive mostly pre-assembled and are ready to use straight out of the box with minimal effort. The DD-X requires some initial assembly to build the static frame, but all fixings and tools are included. Unlike many cheaper stands which require significant assembly from scratch, GT Omega stands are designed to get you racing as quickly as possible.
Can I store it when I am not using it?
The PRO and APEX both fold flat with your hardware attached, making them easy to store in a small space when not in use. The DD-X is a static, non-folding stand designed for dedicated racing spaces where it will remain set up.
Is a wheel stand a good long-term investment?
Yes. Every GT Omega wheel stand includes an upgrade path to a full racing cockpit. When you are ready, you can add a compatible rear seat frame and racing seat to transform your wheel stand into a complete sim racing rig, no need to start again from scratch.
